What Do You Need?
In accordance with the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 you will need:
A copy of your photo ID and proof of address, which must be dated within three months.
A UK photo driving licence is usually the easiest form of identification, but if you want to see what else you can use check here for an up to date list.
If you are scrapping a motor vehicle, the V5C registration document is required. As an ATF, we can provide you with a certificate of destruction to prove that you’re no longer the registered keeper of the vehicle.

Collection/delivery
In addition to delivering your scrap at our recycling site, for larger quantities or where you do not have the facilities to deliver, we can collect from you. We handle everything from one-off deliveries of a few kilos, to contracts involving thousands of tonnes and a wide range of different metal types and forms.

If the document from the list above does not show a current address, it must be accompanied by:
Proof of address which must be less than 3 months old when the scrap is received

- Credit or debit card statement
- Mortgage statement
- Council tax demand letter or statement
- Council rent book/Benefit book
- Council/Housing Association agreement
- HMRC correspondence
- TV licence
- UK Firearm/Shotgun licence
- Utility bill (not a mobile phone bill)
- Water bill
